I have a pair of Great Hands holding me tight

“Welcome HOME”, this was what God whispered to me last 2 weeks during service. It was great to be connected with God’s people again. I am not doing so well lately but God’s grace is enough for me to go through everyday, good or bad. I have been thinking how to summarize my four and half year’s life in KL for 2 months, what I should expect from this year and year ahead, and most importantly, I am looking for a job right now. GREAT!

With all the questions in my head, I started to move on my own, rather than asking God what I should do. Strange isn’t it? I trust God, with my own understanding. Tell you, I do that all the time. I am not proud of it, but that shows I am moving away from God, and God is trying to hold me back into His arms again. Guess what, He did~ He always does. Amazing right?

For the past four and half years I was learning how to find myself, but now God is telling how to be myself. It is a whole new different aspect and of course, a lot more good and bad are coming on my way. How am I supposed to know what to do, how to do, where to do. God is putting people in my life to teach me lessons. Whether I like it or not, I have to deal with it, I have to figure out what to do, and one most important thing, I must ACT! I must put my words into actions. It is not easy all the times but when I finally make the first move, the rest is easier than I thought. Even if it doesn’t, I know who to turn to. I don’t have to be perfect for everybody, but I must do something so that people know that I am willing to learn and make mistakes, I am responsible for my own decision and I am willing to ask for help if I can’t make it. I will be hearing nasty words, rejections or something worst than that, but I am able to take them all and still work the best out of it. I will wipe my tears and move on. I am willing to apologize, learn the lesson and let go.

God wants a broken heart, that’s you and me. I am not at my best situation right now but I always know that God’s grace is enough for me to move on. I am not saying you can spit bad words on me and I would feel nothing because no one likes that. But I know my focus is not on the negative side, but on God. People can crush me, sometimes my spirit but not His plan for me. I can be very fragile, but my God is strong. And you, Mr.GIANT, cannot defeat my Heavenly Father because somehow He is able to make me get back on my feet and move on. It is not about me, but Him. This is my God. And I want you to know Him and welcome Him into your life. Amen.

Sounds a little heavy, but anyway, Chinese New year is around the corner, wishing all of you a Happy Prosperous Chinese New Year. Enjoy.

Only One Thing is Needed...

And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.
But ONE thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."

Luke 10:41-42

"The service attendance is so low for the past few months or perhaps, years; more members please!!!"

"My cell group members didn't keen on attending cell group at all..."

"The musical instrument doesn't sound nice today, I can't concentrate worshiping God.."

"The temperature in church is too cold, let me adjust it..."

"I don't have time for quiet moment with God, I need to minister to people each night, they need me.."

Luke 10:39-40

...Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word.

But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said,
"Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone?
Therefore tell her to help me."

Jesus' response was...

And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.
But ONE thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."

Luke 10:41-42

Yes, only One thing is needed, that is a humble and pure heart for God.
An undivided heart for Him is what He desires from us.

Not the excessive serving, serving do not equal to our love for God.

Unknowingly, we might be...
Serving for the sake of serving;
Singing without worshiping Him;
Playing musical instrument without Him being the Audience;
Enjoy leading people for our own kingdom instead of His kingdom;
Loving the church as an organisation without loving Him.

Remember, one One thing is needed,
let's sit by His feet each day and listen what He actually wants.

Just fix our eyes on Him,
and everything else will take its place.

only One thing is needed... = )

What's Next?Trust God.

I am looking forward to the next project that God will me. What is like? How will it go? Where will it be? I know that God is with me all the time. I realize something important through these 2 months – my relationship with God is always my first priority.

I have not been doing my quiet time for 2 months. I would rather say my relationship with God is getting colder. I look good from the outside, but I don’t have the peace inside, it was still the wicked me that covered up well. I am living a double life, and YES, I am two timing God. I still go to church, I still believe in God, I still love God. Or…am I? I always ask God, “Will You still love me even if I don’t, or at least I started to “not so willing” anymore?” I have been giving as many reasons as I could to analyze my thoughts and my actions – I am running away from my own pain. The Truth hurts, but is the lie that kills. I can’t earn God’s love, it is given freely through the Blood of Jesus. But I was doing it with all the wrong reason to bribe God. I was totally wrong. God still bless me, why? I could have died thousand times to my own sins but God make me stay, why? I feel so ashamed to come before Him and confess myself. Where should I start, what should I do?

The fire is getting dimmer, I am losing my way in God. Words are coming in and out of my mind at the same time, I cant concentrate well, I am losing my patience, I am…I am turning away from God but I cant afford to lose Him. I have no words to describe myself.

I know this is the part that I have to deal with God myself, it is a very big step for me to get back on my feet from where I fall. I trust God for every situation He puts me in, because He will never let me fighting this battle alone. I challenge myself to realize the possibilities lie in every situation, I allow myself to be challenged and counter it back with God’s words. I don’t cover up myself but I do slowly let it all out under the sun. People are more interested in watching us getting back on our feet through failures with God’s strength. I am falling hard, but I know God’s love is even bigger. He has so much love for me, He can give even more into your life. My prayer for you today.

“When you see there is only one set of foot print on the sand, it is God that carrying you on His shoulder.” Amen.

It's about How MUCH you TRUST ME...

My life has been very hectic since the beginning of this semester,
assignments, quizzes, hospital clerkships, reports.. one after another...
Could't even get a chance to take a deep breath.
Always ended up having 1 day or 2 to prepare for the quizzes.

But this line has been lingering in my mind throughout the entire semester,

"It's not about how much time you have, but how much you trust in Me."

and I know, it's from the Lord.
It's an assurance cum reminder from Him.

Psalm 33:16-22 says that

No king is saved by the multitude of an army;
A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

A horse is a vain hope for safety;
Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His mercy,

To deliver their soul from death,
And to keep them alive in famine.

Our soul waits for the LORD;
He is our help and our shield.

For our heart shall rejoice in Him,
Because we have trusted in His holy name.

Let Your mercy, O LORD, be upon us,
Just as we hope in You.

Psalm 127:1-2

Unless the LORD builds the house,
They labour in vain who build it;

Unless the LORD guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.

It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.

These verses are reminding me that,
without God,
no matter how strategic our situation is; or
no matter how hard we work;
without His blessings, nothing is gonna work.
without His blessings, there won't be any fruit coming out from our hard work.

It's not about what my physical eyes are seeing now.
But it's about having Faith in Him.

It's not about how much time I have for my revision,
it's about how much I Trust in Him.

Because even I am left with 1 hour to study for exam,
He can still make a miracle out of it.
He can still let me pass the exam with flying colours.

Because He is God.

On the other hand, without His blessings,
even though I have 1 month to study for 1 subject,
I would not be able to do well either.
Because His hand is not with me.

"Father, please help me to trust in You firmly and be still in You.
And I pray that Your hand will be with me,
helping me win every battle that I needed to take on.
All glory and honour be unto Your Name.

But Father, even if things don't go according to my way or plan,
help me trust that You still love me.
Your love for me never change.

Whether I leave the battlefield as victor or not,
help me give You the glory.

Help me to be like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego (Daniel 3:17-18)

"Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace,
and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.

But if not, let it be known to you, O king,
that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up."

Help me not to bow to the circumstances, but just TRUST in YOU.

Thank You, Father.
In Jesus' most precious name I pray,
Amen."

Pride

Pride is something very dangerous
It blinds everything
It hardens your heart

You work with your own effort
It is all about “Me, Myself and I”

You want attention
You seek for attention

You want things get done according to your own way
You become impatient
You get jealous easily
You can’t accept anything better than you

Pride eats up your conscious,
You speak harshly
Quick to anger
You don’t feel the peace
You feel empty

You want more from the world
So that you would feel needed
And the cycle goes on

Pride comes in when you think you are bigger than God

Pride comes in when you think know God better than others

Pride comes in when you think you can reach God with your own effort

Pride comes in when you think you can take control over your life

“Joy is gone from our hearts; our dancing has turned into mourning…Because of this our hearts are faint, because of these things our eyes grow dim.” Lamentations 5:15,17

“Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.” Proverb 3:7

“Salvation is the work of the Lord, not ours.”

It is only by the Blood of the Lamb that we can come to God freely

It is GRACE

When you are filled with pride
Turn to God
Confess with your mouth and seek Him earnestly
Pray hard
Only God can touch you, deep into your heart

Do not let fear overwhelmed you
Fear comes with punishment
Jesus came not to condemn but LOVES
And LOVE drives out fear

God is LOVE
And He is knocking on your door today
No one is too insignificant to be noticed in heaven

“See that you don’t look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.” Matthew 18:10

“In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.” Matthew 18:14

God is Good~~
Amen.

Lesson #5

Humbling process

“In this world you will have problem. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

They don’t always happen when you ask

and it’s easy to give into your fear

But when you are blinded by your pain

can’t see a way safe through the rain

But still a resilient voice says

LOVE is very near.

Overwhelmed by stress? fear? temptation?

Turn to Jesus, because He has overcome the world.

Just as He promised.

It is a humbling process

Only through circumstances that we will learn to depend on God

It is a privilege

To be disciplined by God Himself

When we called ourselves children of God

We know, it will not be easy

Life is never easy though

But God’s promise is so strong.

He has overcome to world

So love others, just as how you would want others to love you.

Love God, with all your heart, all your strength, all your might…

Give God everything

Your past, Your hurt, Your desire…

Because He has better things for you

Far better than what you have in mind.

Joy that wont be taken away,

Hope that always keep you moving,

Peace that calm your heart

Give God your pieces, and He will make you whole

Give God yourself today

Give Him all

God Bless
♥

Lesson #4

Forgiven Sins

God is Love
His Love covers every sins human-being could have done
It is all under His divine control

He is ever ready to forgive
With one condition
Full repentance
That’s all He is asking

Blameless does not mean perfection
It means come back to Him in full repentance
No excuses
Just repent

It is an attitude
It is humble
It is an attitude of being humble
and
completely summit to the One that created you and me

Sins are forgiven
Chains being broken
No longer we lives under the lust of flesh
But with the a divine Love that reveals the Truth
“You are forgiven”

Jesus is the perfect Love of God
Do you want this Love?
Come to Jesus today

In Jesus’ name I pray
Amen
